We will be awarding scholarships to those deserving students who were chosen by the board to receive the coveted SWCA scholarships. We are excited announce our guest speaker this year is Mrs. Pat Mann Phillips. Mrs. Phillips is an independent consultant in the energy industry and just this year, Mrs. Phillips was the first woman to ever be elected to the executive committee of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo! Pat Mann Phillips is an independent energy consultant with over 30 years of business and energy industry experience. Pat’s corporate career spans 20 years working in Land, Business Development, Human Resources and Energy Trading with Atlantic Richfield, Vastar Resources, Southern Company and Mirant Energy.
With the discovery of the Barnett Shale, Pat struck out on her own to apply her knowledge and experience as an independent energy consultant. Today, she serves as Managing Director of Energy Services for Revenade, a global management-consulting firm.
In addition to her professional experience, Pat is also an Executive Committee Member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo™, celebrating its 86th anniversary with over 34,800 volunteers and nearly $450 million contributed and committed to youth and education since 1932.
Pat was also a charter member of the Texas Women’s Venture Fund – a not-for-profit organization providing entrepreneurial skills training, business loans and business assistance for women-led companies.Pat was raised in Johnson County, TX where her family farming and ranching operation continues today. She graduated from Texas Tech University with degrees in Petroleum Land Management and Finance. Pat and husband, Tim, have been married 27 years and reside in Houston, TX. Together, they own and operate Trinity Spirit Ranch, an equine boarding and foster facility, located in the community of Field Store, TX.
